PD Dr. Dr. Meikel A.Vesper

PD Dr. Dr. Meikel A. Vesper graduated from general medicine at the University of Marburg in 1987 and then from dentistry at the University of Freiburg in 1990. He obtained his PhD in 1993. His thesis on "Methodological study on behalf of T4 and T8 lymphocytes in periodontium“ was evaluated by the German Society of Periodontology as the best dissertation a year later. From 1991 he worked at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. In 1995 he achieved attestation of oral and maxillofacial surgery and in 1997 in plastic surgery and in the same year he worked as a consultant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Hamburg - Eppendorf. Since 1999 he worked as a senior consultant in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2002 he became a field supervisor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Since 2005 he has worked as Head of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Clinic Barnim GmbH in Eberswalde. He has authored more than 60 publications and 120 lectures. He is a specialist in cleft and orthognathic surgery.
