Born in Ostrava on 27 March 1940. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Brno in 1963. Key specialisation: reproductive medicine, fertility disorders, family planning, contraception, sex education. Research work: 86 articles in journals, chapters in foreign monographs related to the topics of contraception and induced abortion. 18 popular science publications. He is the author of many articles published in printed media, he has made many interviews and radio broadcasting and TV programmes. Every year he gives dozens of lectures and takes part in discussions on sex education intended for professional as well as general public. Study stays in the Netherlands and in the U.S. The honorary member of the Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, the Czech and Slovak Societies for Sexual Medicine, expert of the National Register of Reproductive Health of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the honorary chairman of the Czech Family Planning Association, external tutor at the University of Hradec Králové, sworn expert (gynecology, obstetrics and sexual medicine), Vice-Chairman of the Association of Writers of the Czech Republic.
