DR. LORENZO FRANCHI

Keynote Lecture - Friday, September 23, 2016

This presentation will evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment of Class II malocclusion in growing subjects. In particular, the effectiveness of Class II treatment with functional appliances will be described by means of a systematic review of the literature of the last 45 years. Stability of treatment with functional appliances in the long term (at the completion of active craniofacial growth) will be analyzed. The key-role of treatment timing in the individual responsiveness to functional jaw orthopedics in the long term will be also discussed.
