Prof. Dr. med.dent. Jean-Pierre Joho, Dr.h.c.

Dr. J. P. Joho received his dental degree in 1965 and his doctoral degree in 1968 from Zurich University. His American Graduate Orthodontic training took place at the University of Washington in Seattle from 1969 to 1971 where he obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. He was Professor and Chairman of the combined Orthodontic and Pedodontic Department, University Dental School in Geneva, Switzerland from 1974 to 1997. He has served as president of the European Orthodontic Society in 1982/83. In 1996 he received the Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Athens, Greece. He retired from private practice in 2010. Dr. Joho has given some 200 presentations and postgraduate courses as invited lecturer worldwide.
