Come and enjoy an original tour of the landmarks of the unique architectural part of Ostrava, in the rhythm of a warm-up run and in the company of great athletes, the Sajdoks.
OSTRAVA - LOWER AREA OF VÍTKOVICE
October 5, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.
Zuzana, a former Slovak runner and now a renowned physiotherapist, will introduce you to the basics of proper running and Stanislav, multiple time champion of the Czech Republic in the 110m hurdles, participant in the European Championships, World Championships and 2008 Summer Olympics, will show you the Bolt Tower, the highest situated café and a viewpoint, which once hosted the legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. He will also show you the famous Nohavica s Heligonka Club, a place where tens of thousands of fans gather every year for the Colours of Ostrava festival. He will take you back in time in the Small World of Technology U6 and then you will run to the future in the Science and Technology Center. You would also see the unique Gong concert hall, set in a former gas holder.
After about twenty minutes of warm-up, the more competitive ones will be allowed to contest in a running race. Apart from refreshments and souvenirs for all, or laurels and prizes for the best, you will also get self-satisfaction from the movement and from the fact that the participants’ fee will be used for supporting talented young athletes of the Moravian-Silesian region. The investment in the entry fee of 300 CZK will therefore be the best investment that you will make in Ostrava.
