Doc. MUDr. Pavlína Černochová, Ph.D.

In 1994 she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno. After graduation she joined the 2nd Clinic of Dentistry (currently Clinic of Dentistry) at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and St. Anne’s University Hospital as a physician, later as a lecturer, and as associate professor since 2011. She passed an attestation exam in dentistry in 1998 and specialisation exam in orthodontics in 2001. Dr. Černochová is a Head of the Orthodontic Department, Clinic of Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno. She has successfully completed Ph.D. studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Brno. In 2011, she habilitated by defending her thesis entitled Eruption Disorders of Maxillary Canine. She is a member of the Board in Dentistry of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University and a member of the Academic Senate at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno. She is also a member of the Czech Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society. She has completed an intership at Dental Clinic in Ghent, Belgium. Dr. Černochová is a co-researcher of several grants, author or co-author of more than 150 lectures at congresses and professional events in the Czech Republic and abroad, the first author of 30 (2 journals with IF) and co-author of 35 (7 with IF) articles and published a book called Diagnostics of Impacted Teeth. She is a member of editorial boards of Czech and foreign professional journals. In 2006 she won the Prof. Asbjørn Hasund Award. She received the best Poster Award at the 7th International Orthodontic Congress 2010 in Sydney, Australia. In the same year, she has run orthodontic private practice.
