Prof. Alberto Caprioglio, D.D.S.

Prof. Alberto Caprioglio obtained the DDS in 1988 and in 1993 he got the Specialization in Orthodontics at the University of Pavia. Actually he is the Chairman of the Orthodontitc section of under- and post- graduate programms in orthodontics and Director of the ITEB (Innovative Technology and Engineered Biomaterials research center) at the University of Insubria in Varese. He has published more than 150 articles and he is author of 8 books. He has lectured internationally and he is member of WFO, AAO, EOS and SIDO. He is a certified member of the Italian and European Board of Orthodontics and Active Member of the Angle Society of Europe. He is president of the Italian Board of Orthodontics. His special interests are restricted to early orthodontics treatments, molar and canine movements, sleep disorders related to orthodontics, orthodontics and its correlation to dental traumatology and 3D applications in orthodontics. In 2015 he won the FEO Award for the Best Clinical Paper published in 2014 and presented by the European Orthodontic Federation. In 2017 he won the B. F. Dewel Award for the highest-rated clinical research article published in the AJO-DO in 2016 and presented by the American Association of Orthodontics.
